A job or a mission?

What is journalism? Ethics in the work of the journalist, the journalist’s role in the creation of local identity or the construction of political and media reality. Researchers and practitioners will discuss those issued within the conference “Journalism as a profession and vocation”.

The conference will also cover issues connected with on-line journalism. – We need to reach far in terms of the liability of Internet service providers, because we make them public censors – says dr Maciej Siwicki z UMK.

Deliberations will end with the 5th Copernican debate, which will be held on November 5 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Management, with Grzegorz Miecugow (TVN 24), Andrzej Stankiewicz (Newsweek Poland) and Marek Nienartowicz (Nowości).
