Belgian director, theatre in Toruń
International Theatre Day will have a special celebration in Toruń. March 27th will see the premiere of “Caritas. Two minutes of silence” – a play directed by Lies Pauwels from Belgium. It will take place in Wilam Horzyca Theatre.
Pauwels, know to Polish audience through her “White Star” play that received the first prize at the International Theatre Festival Kontakt 20005, was invited to work with the actors’ team of Wilam Horzyca Theatre in Toruń. This is what she had to say about her work in Toruń: “When I look at actors from Toruń, how they talk to each other, it looks to me as if they are not talking but fighting. Everything they do or say is full of passion. That’s why I feel so good working with them”.
Sławomir Maciejewski, Małgorzata Abramowicz, Maria Kierzkowska and Łukasz Ignasiński, among others, are in the cast of the play.
