Córdoba in Toruń

Toruń hosted a meeting with representatives of the institution coordinating the efforts of the Spanish Córdoba for the title of the European Capital of Culture in 2016.

Spanish guests talked with representatives of TORUŃ 2016 about cooperation between the two cities and the proposed implementation of joint cultural projects.

On Wednesday October 28th program director of Cordoba 2016, Carlota Álvarez Basso, Assistant Director-General, Office of the City of Cordoba Juan Carlos Lima and a consultant on cultural exchange, Monika Poliwka Bonet have come with an unofficial visit to Toruń.

Our guests also met with the director of Symphony Orchestra of Toruń, Paweł Dudzik. During the talks, there came a proposal of a common music project based of young musicians exchange.

It’s worth to mention that the ECoC contest was already declared in Spain in early October.
