Intercity Wozownia
Video documentation, photos, objects-props left over from singular, site-specific actions that were realized in public spaces of cities in various parts of Europe will be presented in Wozownia Art Gallery in Toruń.
Karolina Freino’s exhibition will be opened this Friday, December 11th at 6 PM. For the first time, a group of independent, closed projects, created as the commentary to a certain place, has been collated within one, common presentation. The structure of the exhibition is characterized by a flexible narration composed on viewer’s individual “itinerary”, based on his or her own, chosen order.
As the author says:
“That is so because Intercity has been thought not as much as the exposition (display of a collection of works) but as an illustration of defined artistic strategy – reflective-critical flaneurism, in its primary, 19th century form, not loaded yet with a consumerism label, expended only in a sense of a scale from city to continental”.
Exhibition will be available to the public till January 10th, 2010.
