Plaster Festival
As a part of Plaster Poster and Typography Festival, Centre of Contemporary Art in Toruń – and its partner, Toruń 2016 – is organizing a contest for a poster that speaks loudly about the European Capital of Culture 2016 title that Toruń is bidding for. Contest’s deadline is set for May 7th.
The contest is targeted towards young people, students and graduates of artistic schools and universities in Poland. All works will be judged by a jury made of poster professionals, including the renowned Lexa Drewiński.
The Plaster Festival is aimed at promoting young artists and graphic designers dealing with typography and posters. The CoCA building as well the public space of the city will became an exhibition area presenting new and exciting trends in poster art.
The festival will also feature a conference meeting. How important are posters in our modern age and digitalized world? This is the question that will be answered by artists and researchers. It’s worth to be there!
Details can be found on CoCA's website.
