“Sects — freedom or slavery?”

On November 26, 2009 NCU’s Faculty of Theology will hold scientific conference “Sects — freedom or slavery? Interdisciplinary issues”.

The conference will address various issues concerning the activities of so-called sects and new religious movements – in particular sociological, legal, educational, psychological, philosophical, theological and of religious studies. These issues will be presented both in theoretical and practical aspect. The conference aims to exchange ideas and experiences of representatives of expert, scientific and social circles.

During the conference scholars and practitioners from Warsaw, Gdansk, Olsztyn, Bialystok, Lublin, Wroclaw, Krakow, Katowice, Bielsko-Biala, Stalowa Wola and Torun will deliver their speeches dealing with the problem of sects and new religious movements.
