Shades of music
“Shades of music. Paintings created by Chopin” piano concerts will take place in Toruń on February 13th and Szafarnia on February 14th. The meeting of music and visual art, tradition and modern art – they will be two of the most important events of The Chopin Year in our area.
Piotr Paleczny, one of the most gifted of modern Polish pianists will play two concerts next to a painting by Mariusz Kałdowski. Fantasy f-moll op. 49, Scherzo b-moll op. 31, Ballad F-dur op. 38 and Nocturn fis-moll op. 48 nr 2 are to be played during those shows.
It is worth to mention that a special Chopin Bus will take listeners from Toruń to Szafarnia. Departure is set for 3:30 PM at the Marshal’s Office parking lot. Tickets are cheap, only 10 PLN each. The concert in Toruń will take place in The Artus Court. It is co-organized by Toruń 2016.
The whole project came to life thanks to financial support of public authorities.
