Toruń - Sound and Image

The new audio-visual "face" Thorn appeared in two new and interesting interdisciplinary projects. A virtual photo-walk called Virtualtorun.eu and sound city map named by the creators "Tonopolis".

Both projects were supported by the Torun 2016 institution.

First sound. The authors of the proposed extraordinary "sound walk" by Torun. The project includes a two-part music album and website. On the album we can hear the "sounds of the city of Toruń". Album include sounds of Torun street, train station, church bells and the sounds characteristic for the specific sites - Cosmopolis Fountain, Old Town Square, or Bydgoskie Park. The authors are: musician and artist Rafał Kołacki and Ewa & Jacek Doroszenko [www.tonopois.pl].

The second project that we want to present is Virtualtorun.eu - the biggest virtual walk across the Torun city. It consists of over 160 panoramas made with high quality. It's tour across historic streets, interiors, churches and museums [www.virtualtorun.eu].

Both projects have recently born in Torun, give us the opportunity of a modern look at Torun.
