Toruń full of puppet dolls

Puppet theatres from China, Holland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland are visiting Toruń during the 16th “Meetings” International Puppet Theatres Festival taking place in The Baj Pomorski Theatre.
Festival presentations are wide spread between a traditional puppet art and the newest trends in the art of animation; between small scale plays and big-scene productions. Apart from twelve contest plays, Baj Pomorski will show three of its premieres: “Gulliver’s Travels”, “Sun set and sun down” and “Which one of you would like to make a sad rhino smile”. The puppet festival lasts October 30th.
Young artists in Mount Blanc

November 6th at Mount Blanc Coffee and Chocolate House in Toruń will see the opening of an exhibition devoted to young artists that were promoted by the Mount Blanc in the last twelve months.
All artists are students and graduates of the Fine Arts Department of Nicolaus Copernicus University. Visitors will be able to see a lot of paintings but graphics, drawings and other forms will also be present. At the end of the grand opening Degrengolada punk-reggae-ska band will play a concert.
Good example comes from Toruń

“The Program of Cultural Education of Country School Kids” created and carried by WOAK (Culture Animation Centre in kujawsko-pomorskie area) was considered a good example of “best practice” and presented on the National Marketplace of Cultural Education in Warsaw.
The Marketplace happening on October 19th and 20th is a meeting of culture animators working in regional centers and NGOs. Apart from discussions and lectures visitors of the Marketplace were able take part in presentations of the best Polish cultural projects. The one carried by WOAK was among them. From the very beginning the project was coordinated by Alicja Usowicz from WOAK’s Artistic Education Department. This year it was presented for the 17th time! Congratulations WOAK!
